When we were offered a red hot band at short notice, we just couldn’t say no, so we can confirm FEET will be playing Esquires on Sunday the 24th of February!
A five piece from Coventry ‘making wonky Britpop for a new generation’ (NME), FEET are signed to Yala Records, the label founded by Maccabees guitarist Felix White and their sound flits from groovy disco beats to art rock by way of trippy psychedelia and classic pop.
Recent single ‘English Weather’ is the best thing we have heard in ages – a summer anthem that could be taken from ‘Parklife’ or ‘Thrills, Pills and Bellyaches’ whereas early releases ‘Petty Thieving’, ‘Backseat Driver’ and ‘Macho Macho’, bristle with post-punk energy somewhere between Shame and Parquet Courts.
‘…one of the most deservedly hyped bands around’ – Line of Best Fit.
Tipped by everyone who matters, this is a special warm up date for their impending headline tour. Get involved!
Also on the bill will be brand new outfit 10,000 Hours (we’ve only heard one track and it’s brilliant!) and local indie gang The Courts.
Tickets are a mere £6 each – available now from www.seetickets.com.
