Guy Griffin, a seasoned guitarist and songwriter known for his long tenure with The Quireboys since 1989, and now singer with Black Eyed Sons who’ve just released the critically acclaimed album *Cowboys in Pinstriped Suits*,(which entered the official UK album charts and debuted at number 1 in the official UK Blues Chart) is set to perform his first acoustic solo shows, joined by Vertical Records artist Dylan Taylor from Nashville, Tennessee, and world-renowned session guitarist Max Milligan, along with other guest musicians. Griffin’s career is rich with collaborations, including working with Joe Elliott of Def Leppard on the side project Down ‘n’ Outz, which produced three studio albums, as well as recording and performing with Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke and Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople. He’s also toured worldwide with bands like The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, and Aerosmith. Griffin’s own recording history features an elite roster of producers: Bob Rock (Metallica, Michael Bublé), Chris Kimsey (The Rolling Stones), Chris Tsangarides (Thin Lizzy), Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin), Dusty Wakeman (Dwight Yoakam), and Ronan McHugh (Def Leppard)
For this acoustic debut, Griffin will pull from his extensive back catalogue, unveil new material, and reinterpret a few choice covers, all in a “stripped back roots/Americana” style. This approach highlights his talents anew, merging his rock n roll foundation with Taylor’s Nashville soul and Milligan’s virtuoso touch. As of February 21, 2025, the show offers an intimate look at Griffin’s artistry, bolstered by his remarkable collaborations and production legacy.
