We are very excited to be bringing Finland’s HYESTJFAVHS to Esquires, having followed the band around Brighton at The Great Escape festival!
The band have just released brand new album ‘Jazbelle 1984/1988’. Across the course of 11 ‘flower-garage’ tunes, each catchier and more chaotic than the last, HYESTJFAVHS? establish themselves as one of the most exciting and infectious bands to come out of Scandinavia in recent years. The trio have carved out a unique sound for themselves, opting to use keyboards instead of guitars.
The best way to describe them is like an 80s synth pop band with garage-rock sensibilities, stringed together with lyrics about surreal films and phrases. In short, alot of fun.
