Pale Blue Eyes + Guests
7:30pm, Weds 5th May, Bedford Esquires
We’re super pleased to announce that we’ve (finally!) secured a date with one of our favourite bands, PALE BLUE EYES on Wednesday 15th May at Esquires, Bedford. We recently caught the band at Rockaway Beach Festival and they’re on fire at the moment. They come to town hot off the back of an EU support tour with Slow-dive this Spring.
Pale Blue Eyes are a young electro-modernist guitar group, formed in South Devon in the southwest of the UK. Their debut single came out in 2021 on the band’s own label, Broadcast Recordings.
PBE’s debut album, Souvenirs, was released in 2022 on the Full Time Hobby label. The album was mixed and mastered by Dean Honer (The Moonlandingz, Róisín Murphy, I Monster, Human League). The second PBE album, This House, was released to critical acclaim in September 2023, again on Full Time Hobby and again mixed and mastered by Dean Honer.
Uncut: “Joyous… propulsive… exhilarating.”
Clash: “Masterful… gorgeous… heartwarming optimism.”
The Quietus: “A daring record… impeccable dancefloor touch.”
MOJO: “PBE are about immediacy and tunes… epic.”Magic (France): “Ultrapuissante… orgasmique… profondeur infinie.”
Line Of Best Fit: “‘Like all great debuts both a culmination of their beginnings as well as a pointer to the wide open road ahead.”
