Unfortunately, Peaness have made the difficult decision to cancel their IVW tour, including their date at Esquires. Statement from band is below and I hope you will join us in wishing them well…
Dearest Petits Pois.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to announce that we will be cancelling our Independent Venue Week tour scheduled for the beginning of 2024.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions we have faced and one we have not taken lightly and a decision that we know, and we hope that you will all support.
We are currently dealing with the dreaded mental and physical burnout after what has quite possibly been the most intense 18 months of our 10 years together as Peaness. This has included a lot of gigs and touring, and we are so grateful for all of your support over this time, and we hope you enjoyed seeing us perform.
As advocates of self-care, we’d be hypocritical to not listen to our own advice, and of course as a result of this, we feel that not only would we not be able to perform to the level we would like, but it also wouldn’t be to the level that you all deserve as our fiercely loyal fan base.
We are very much aware now that our brains and bodies need a time out in order for us rest and to figure out how we can move forward.
We hope you can all appreciate that we don’t want to put a timeframe on this and we will update you all with the news when we can. With that said we will still be taking merch orders and sending out as per usual.
Thank you for all your love and support and we really look forward to coming back and bring Peaness back into your lives.
Please look after yourselves and each other.
Formed late 2014 in Chester University digs, the brilliantly monikered PEANESS write catchy, fuzzy, harmony driven indie-pop songs about love, friendship, frustrations, Brexit and food waste.
They’ve performed at festivals including Green Man, Benicassim, Truck, Great Escape, 2000 Trees, Kendal Calling & Indietracks and have toured with bands like The Cribs, Big Moon and We are Scientists.
We are delighted to welcome PEANESS (try shouting it in your loudest voice) to Esquires for their debut performance at the venue.
