The Roar Club and Club Biscuit are delighted to announce that ROLLING BLACKOUTS COASTAL FEVER will be appearing at Esquires on Friday the 19th July 2019 for a special intimate show prior to their appearance at the Latitude Festival!
The Australian five piece have been gaining plaudits across the globe ever since the release of their still brilliant ‘French Press’ single back in 2017. Often compared to bands like R.E.M, The Strokes, The Go-Betweens and War on Drugs, their debut album ‘Hopes Down’ was one of the best guitar records of recent years.
Mojo – Debut album of the year.
“The possible indie rock album of the year” – The Guardian
Uncut – Number 2 in their albums of the year.
Released on Sub Pop (home to Nirvana!) and featuring the singles ‘Mainland’, ‘Talking Straight’, ‘An Air Conditioned Man’, ‘Time In Common’ & ‘Sister’s Jeans’ it became a staple of BBC 6Music and lead to sold-out performances in London, San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, Philadelphia, New York City and more. The band also played some of the world’s biggest music festivals including Coachella, Primavera Sound, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Green Man and End of the Road.
A firm favourite here at Esquires, we have been desperately chasing them for years. Therefore, we are delighted they have agreed to play a venue which is blatantly too small for them prior to their performance at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk.
Tickets are £15 in advance, available from 10am on Friday the 1st of March from www.seetickets.com / Slide Record Store and Esquires Bar.
