’See you get older every year, but you don’t change, or I don’t notice you’re changing’
We are beyond excited to confirm that Teenage Fanclub will be returning to Bedford Esquires on Thursday the 7th August 2025 as part of the venues 35th Anniversary celebrations.
One of the greatest British bands of all time, Teenage Fanclub last played the venue in July 1990, just prior to the release of their debut album ‘A Catholic Education’. They went onto release countless classic LPs such as ‘Bandwagonesque’, ‘Grand Prix’ and ’Songs from Northern Britain’ and record timeless songs like ’The Concept’, ‘Don’t Look Back’ and ‘Ain’t that Enough’ as well as touring with the likes of Nirvana and Oasis.
Still led by founding members Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley and now featuring drummer Francis McDonald, bassist Dave McGowan and keyboardist Euros Childs, we are extremely grateful they have agreed to return to the venue for a very special full band performance.
Tickets on sale 10am Thursday the 21st of November from Seetickets with a limited number of tickets available with no booking fees from Slide Record shop (cash only please). In association with Arts Council England a number of tickets will be available at 1990 prices (£5) from Seetickets for those on a low income or struggling with increases in the cost of living.
It goes without saying that this will sell out very, very quickly…
