THE BUG CLUB + British Birds
7:30pm, Sat 9th November
Esquires, Bedford
We are really excited to be bringing one of our favourite bands, The Bug Club, back to Esquires in November.
Formed in 2016 in the little-known rock n’ roll hotbed that is Caldicot, Monmouthshire, The Bug Club’s name does a good job of introducing the band and their music. A tight-knit, collaborative effort focused on telling tales of the everyday that we often take for granted, shot through with humour and riffs-a-plenty.
Initially championed by BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley, along with Adam Walton and Huw Stephens on Radio Cymru, The Bug Club have since earned the support of DJs, fellow artists and press worldwide. Sold-out tours across the UK and in Europe paved the way for 2023 which will see the band play further afield to an ever-growing loyal fanbase. The band released their second studio album ‘Rare Birds: Hour of Song’ in Oct 23 supported with tours in Europe, UK and North America.
2024 will see further album releases and global touring with announcements coming very soon. The band have just completed a successful UK tour selling out Village Underground in London as well as many regional shows.
Tickets on sale at 10am from Friday 10th May from Seetickets and available locally from Slide Record Shop and Esquires Bar.
