The Future Sessions return to Bedford’s Esquires on Friday 28 February, with the spotlight on local emerging talent featuring another four of the region’s bands, all fighting hard for your attention. Tickets are just £8 in advance, available now at
seetickets.com.
We bring together Blame Caesar, Plateau and Monochrome and The Dog Cat Scene – making their debut at Esquires. After the success of the first ‘Future Sessions’ show back in September, we were encouraged to go again, shining a light on the next bunch of bands, all of which could be your favourite new act.
Bedford lads Blame Caesar have had a good year, topped off with a support to Toploader at Islington Academy.
The Dog Cat Scene have quickly gelled to create a unique sound, taking influence from modern post-punk bands such as Black Country, New Road and Yard Act. The new EP, Amateur Script For a Violent Drama, showcases everything that characterises them as a modern punk band – go check it out.
And something Bedford has been crying out for, in blender’s eyes and ears, has finally arrived, in the shape of Monochrome: a five-piece, pop-rock girl band – plus Oliver, who’s the one with the beard, that you can’t miss… much like the band. We love ‘em.
Plateau have been pulling in the crowds with their own twist on classic rock, infusing elements of grunge, hard and psychedelic rock to create a sound that is unique to them. Loads of hair and some top tunes.
