Following their previous sell out appearances at Bedford Esquires, The Smyths will return to Bedford Esquires in August 2025.
More than a mere tribute band, The Smyths are a joyous celebration of arguably the greatest band of all time. Thrillingly accurate, the group have amassed a huge following and regularly sell out huge venues both here and abroad. You may also know them from the massively popular festival appearances.
2025 will mark the 40th anniversary of The Smiths second ‘proper’ album, ‘Meat is Murder’, which featured such classics as ‘The Headmaster’s Ritual’, ‘How Soon is Now’* and bass player Andy Rourke’s finest moment in the band, ‘Barbarism Begins at Home’. To celebrate this anniversary, The Smyths will be playing tracks from this record, as well as all the hits and deep cuts you would expect.
This show invariably sells out in advance and we are always grateful when The Smyths agree to come ‘back to the old house’. Tickets available from 10am Friday the 29th of November from Seetickets and would make a great Christmas present for that Smiths obsessive in your life (we’ve all got one…)
In association with Arts Council England a limited number of tickets will be available for just £5 to those on a low income or struggling with increases in the cost of living.
*Yes, we know ‘How Soon is Now’ was only added to the US release and subsequent CD versions of the album!
