Legendary psyche rock shoegaze noise merchants The Telescopes will be playing Esquires, for quite possibly the 1st time, on the 25th September 2024.
One for fans of band like The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, Spaceman 3 and Loop.
Since forming in 1987 The Telescopes have released 16 studio albums, which have encompassed everything from psychedelic rock to drone, ambient and electronica whilst influencing the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Mogwai and A Place to Bury Strangers. Their debut album ‘Taste’ was included in the Pitchfork list of the best shoe-gaze albums of all time whilst their eponymous second LP was released on the legendary Creation Records and featured the genuine chart hit and dream pop classic ‘Flying’. Their latest album, ‘Growing Eyes Becoming String’ was released in February 2024 to rave reviews…
